What is Neural Therapy?

Neural therapy is a treatment method developed about a century ago by the Huneke brothers, aiming to regulate the autonomic (involuntary) nervous system through low-dose local anaesthetic injections. By restoring the body's bioelectrical balance, it is used to treat chronic pain and functional disorders.

How Does Neural Therapy Work?

Past infections, surgeries, scars and trauma can create bioelectrical damage in the nervous system known as "interference fields". The local anaesthetics used in neural therapy help to reset the membrane potential of damaged cells, eliminating these interference fields and supporting tissue repair.

How is Neural Therapy Applied?

The most important stage of the treatment is determining the correct point for the local anaesthetic. Injections may be made into the skin, muscle tissue, old scars or joints. There is usually at least a three-day interval between sessions; the number of sessions varies according to the patient's complaint.

Which Conditions Is It Used For?

  • Headaches and migraine
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Tendinitis and carpal tunnel syndrome
  • Neck, back and lower back pain, herniated disc
  • Facial palsy and neuropathic pain
